For my last effort - I tried to source a `time-lag` connection for my confessional light. This proved unsuccessful, with Maplins sending me round to Edmundsons who didnt have any stock of what I required. It would have cost around £20 but if the switch or contraption is handy for future use it is not too much to pay. The light can of course be switched on - but for a professional installation it would have been necessary to build a small room with maybe a doorway with a sensor mat, or movement sensor light
activated by the viewer. I`m liking the idea of small rooms!! The art ideas never stop do they? I will include some pics now:

A fellow student helped me transport my main piece up to studio - always grateful for his help. The floor is his doing too - looks good doesnt it?
Do the feet look servile enough I wonder.
| Possibly? |
I will be in college next Wednesday morning to meet up with our group and catch up with news and then onto view a possible exhibition site!! It is very exciting, and I am proud to be part of this innovative and forward looking set. We hope to be well ahead for the raising of funds for the degree show in 2013. Like some of the others I will miss the third years and look forward to being there when they finally go on show together in a couple of weeks time. Good luck to everyone!
The finality of finishing Year 1 is very noticable. Not having to worry about 'next week' is slightly weird, and yes it does leave an empty space in my calendar (which my wife has many plans to fill).
ReplyDeleteI am sure you will be very artistic over the next few months, worrying needlessly about next year. Look forward to sharing a room with you so I can get a first hand feel for what Year 3 is like.
I`m sure next september will be very hectic - getting down to what is needed is the most important thing to find out. Glad you agree with the comment - as you said - I would be busy, I hope you will be too. Have a great break - good luck with the marks too!
